The Alberta Development Model (ADM) committee has contracted Edmonton Midget AAA teams from 4 to 3 effective this upcoming season 2019-2020.

The ADM Committee states that this change will align the Edmonton Draw Zone with the rest of the Province and provide an opportunity for Hockey Edmonton to improve and develop players in the city.

The Male ADM programs of play will operate under the direction of a Elite Hockey Management Committee (EHMC) whose membership will be composed of club representatives, Hockey Edmonton representatives
and at-large members.

Major revisions include:

• Hockey Edmonton will field 3 Major Midget AAA teams
for the 2019-20 AMHL season.

• Team formation for Major Midget AAA will be conducted from open tryouts with a 3 team city-wide draft.

• The EHMC and Hockey Edmonton have assigned operations of each of these teams to 3 of the athletic clubs annually. They will assume a host / director responsibility for a team. For 2019-20, the hosts are: CAC, KC and SSAC.

• The Midget AAA Program will be standardized for all city teams in offering the High-Performance Hockey package of:

Best Coach Staffs in Alberta
Best mentors
Best off-ice instructors
Best skill development instructors
Best mental trainers
Best medical practitioners

All the aforementioned within one High-Performance Program along with standard player fees.
