Club Draw Zones Revised | Effective 2020-21

On March 19, 2020, the Hockey Edmonton Board approved new draw areas for all elite clubs in which CAC, KC, MLAC and SSAC are now revised to numerical parity at approximately the same player draw per club throughout Edmonton.

For SSAC resident players that now reside in a new boundary, there is a one-time grandfather option to declare to remain at SSAC for those eligible.

U18 AAA Team Formation & Tryouts

Tryouts for the 3 male U18 AAA teams will be club based – at CAC, MLAC and SSAC who are the three clubs operating the Hockey Edmonton U18 AAA teams in 2020-21.

All 2020-21 eligible KC U18 AAA players will tryout with the MLAC U18 AAA team.

Hockey Alberta June 30 Information Bulletin

Hockey Alberta released its Return to Hockey Plan on Tuesday June 30, providing the framework and minimum standards for Hockey Alberta’s Members to undertake hockey activities.

The Plan also allows players, coaches, officials, parents and other stakeholders to understand the current guidelines for operating sanctioned hockey for the 2020-21 season.

The Return to Hockey Plan and its appendices, along with other announcements and documents pertaining to COVID-19 and its impact on hockey in Alberta, can be reviewed on the Hockey Alberta website.
