Coach McLeod enters his third season leading an SSAC U13 AA team.  Gavin spent five years as a defenseman with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL, and was team captain in 2000/01.  During his time with the Rockets, he was a draft pick of the NHL's Ottawa Senators.  Following his WHL career, Coach McLeod suited up for the the University of Alberta Golden Bears for 5 more years.  As a Bear, Gavin won two National Championships.

Coach McLeod's primary focus is player development, and he is a firm believer in the principles of effort, respect and accountability.
